Saudi Arabia Introduces New Online Services On Absher Platform For Easy Accident Reporting And More

Riyadh: In a significant development, the Ministry of Interior's electronic platform, Absher, now allows residents of Saudi Arabia to report minor accidents online. Public Security Director Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami launched this service, along with several other new Absher online services, in a ceremony held at the Public Security headquarters in Riyadh on Thursday. The event was held under the esteemed patronage of Minister of the Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif.

The newly introduced Absher online services offered by Public Security cover various aspects to enhance convenience and efficiency for the citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia. These nine new services include the following:

1. The transfer of vehicle ownership from a company to an individual

2. The individual auction service

3. The number plate transfer service

4. Reporting incidents of financial fraud committed on bank cards (MADA) 

5. Extending the deadline for payment of traffic violations

6. Customs card display service

7. Verification of the certificate proving no accident took place outside the Kingdom

8. A developed portal service for traffic services

9. The number plate replacement service.

The introduction of these services marks an important milestone in the Ministry of Interior's ongoing digital transformation journey and Public Security's commitment to automating and streamlining services. Through strategic partnerships with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the National Information Center, these digital solutions aim to provide citizens, expatriates, and visitors with time-saving and effortless procedures.
