Bahrain Set To Host 54th Arab Information Ministers Council Meeting

Bahrain is all set to host the 54th session of the Arab Information Ministers' Council. The event, organised in cooperation between the Media and Communication Sector of the Arab League and the Ministry of Information of Bahrain, will be held on May 29. The session will be attended by the Information ministers of Arab countries and their representatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the 101st session of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media will be held on May 27, and the 19th session of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Information Ministers will take place on May 28. Apart from ministers, a delegation led by Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the Arab League, and heads of media organisations will also participate in the session. 

Ahmed Rashid Khattabi said that the Permanent Committee for Arab Media will review the draft agenda. This session will also review the implementation of decisions from the 53rd session of the Council and recommendations from the 18th session of the Executive Bureau. According to the Ambassador, the draft agenda includes continuing media support for Palestine and implementing the Arab media action abroad plan, reported Bahrain News Agency.
