Indian School Salalah Conducts Beach Cleaning Drive in Collaboration with Dhofar Municipality

Salalah: Indian School Salalah, in association with the Dhofar Municipality, organized a beach cleaning drive at Dhariz Beach. The event was a joint initiative of the HSE Club and the Eco Club of the school, held as part of the Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations. The main objective was to promote environmental consciousness and a sense of social responsibility among students.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Shaji P. Sridhar, Subcommittee Chairman, who emphasized the importance of cultivating cleanliness habits starting from home to ensure community health and environmental protection.

Municipal Inspector Mr. Mohammed Al Ghazal was the chief guest of the event. The cleaning equipment was provided by the Dhofar Municipality.

A large number of students and teachers enthusiastically participated in the evening cleanliness drive. The event was led by Vice Principal Mr. Mammikutty, Assistant Vice Principal Dr. Vipin Das, and Head of the Social Science Department Mr. Unnikrishnan.
