UAE Unveils AI-Powered Smart Safety Tracker To Monitor Health Risks At Workplaces

The UAE has rolled out a new digital project called the Smart Safety Tracker, designed to help oversee and strengthen workplace health and safety standards across the country. Introduced during Gitex Global 2025, the Smart Safety Tracker is reshaping how the UAE monitors workplace safety, using generative AI and computer vision to bring smarter, tech-driven regulation to the field.

The platform works like a digital aide for inspectors, automatically reviewing on-site images and data to spot safety lapses like workers without protective gear, unsafe handling of materials, or other potential hazards. Using deep learning models trained on countless workplace situations, the system can instantly identify safety risks as they arise. GenAI then turns that data into easy-to-read reports, pinpointing issues and suggesting fixes—streamlining inspectors’ work and making safety checks far more efficient.
