Dr Yaseen Ashraf
Managing Director

Dr. Yaseen Ashraf is an academic, writer, and media critic known for his contributions to journalism and education. A former English professor at Farook College, he served there for 31 years and retired as Head of the Department in 2017. He holds a PhD in English Literature.

He has been Associate Editor of Madhyamam and, since 2012, Managing Director of Madhyamam Broadcasting Company (MediaOne TV). His weekly news analysis program on MediaOne has crossed 650+ episodes.

Dr. Ashraf has written, edited, and translated numerous books and has received awards including the Prof. M.M. Gani Best Teacher Award, Calicut Press Club Editorial Award (2002 & 2016), and the Theruvath Raman Award (2015). He was former President of (Centre for Information and Guidance India (CIGI)

Mushthaq Ahmed
Group CEO, MediaOne

Mr. Mushthaq Ahmed brings over 22 years of diverse experience across Business, Aviation, IT, Finance, and Education. He holds an MBA, MCA, and a PG Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication, along with certifications such as PMP and PSM I & II.

He previously served in leading organizations including Oman Air and joined MediaOne as General Manager. Since April 2025, he has been leading MediaOne as CEO, steering the organization with strategic vision and strong leadership.

O Abdurahman

O. Abdurahman is a senior journalist, writer, and orator with decades of experience in media and public discourse. He studied at Al Jamia Al Islamiya and later at Qatar University. He has served in the Indian Embassy in Qatar and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Qatar, before returning to India as Principal of Chennamangalam Islahiya College.

He was editor of Prabodhanam weekly (1964–72) and later became Editor-in-Chief of Madhyamam Daily from 1987. Since 2013, he has been Group Editor of MediaOne and, from 2021, Chief Editor of Madhyamam Daily.

He writes extensively on society, politics, education, and media.. He is a member of the Board of Studies (Journalism), University of Calicut, and the General Council of the Kerala Press Academy., and has received many awards including the V. Karunakaran Nambiar Award (2022). He was a member of Kerala Government Arabic Textbook Committee. He served as a member of the 15-member expert committee led by Dr. KN Panikker to advise the Government on the controversial Seventh Standard Social Sciences Textbook syllabus. He also was a member of Paloli Committee appointed by Kerala government to study on the implementation of the Sachar Committee recommendations in Kerala. He was the former secretary of the Kerala Chapter of the Forum for Democracy and Communal Amity (FDCA).

C Dawood

C Dawood is a journalist, writer, and Columnist with two decades of experience in media and public discourse. C. Dawood holds a degree in Sociology and a postgraduate degree in Mass Communication from Farook College and Hyderabad Central University. He began his journalism career in 2000 with Madhyamam, working in the Malappuram bureau and Kozhikode news desk, later serving as Assistant Executive Editor.

He joined MediaOne in 2015 as Managing Editor. He received the Kambisseri Karunakaran Award (2022) for Best Editorial and has authored books including Gaza: Poralikalude Parudheesa and Arab Vasantham–Bhaviyude Rashtreeyam.

Pramod Raman

Pramod Raman is a senior journalist with more than three decades of experience in Malayalam media. Beginning his career with Deshabhimani in 1990, he later worked with Asianet and Indiavision, and then spent 15 years as Senior Coordinating Editor at Manorama News. He joined MediaOne in June 2021 as Editor.

He has been part of key milestones in Malayalam visual media, including anchoring Asianet’s first-ever news bulletin in 1995. A native of Ravaneshwaram, he holds a journalism degree from Kerala Press Academy.

A noted writer, he has published several acclaimed works, including Rathimathavinte Puthran, Drishtichaver, Maranamas, Raktavilasam, and Rashtriya Kathakal. He has also acted in the film Gramavrikshathile Kuyil.
