Dubai RTA Warns Against Fake QR Codes On Parking Signposts

After reports of fraudulent QR codes on parking signposts, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority and Parkin are advising the public to stay vigilant and use only the official QR codes for payments. Fake codes can sometimes mislead or redirect to phishing websites, so it’s important to verify payment methods before confirming and avoid entering any personal information through unverified links or QR codes.

Through a social media post, Dubai RTA and Parkin urged people to stick to trusted payment options, like official apps, SMS links, or designated payment machines. They also ask anyone who spots anything suspicious on public property to report it through the proper channels.
