NEOM, Saudi Arabia - NEOM, the sustainable region situated in the northwest of the Kingdom, has announced the development of Zardun, an exclusive sanctuary resort that represents a significant leap forward for luxury ecotourism in Saudi Arabia.

Introduced by the NEOM Board of Directors, Zardun aims to seamlessly blend contemporary luxury with the natural environment. The resort, located along the crystalline waters of the Gulf of Aqaba, is part of NEOM's ongoing efforts to create a series of coastal assets within the region.

Zardun will feature four ultra-luxury signature buildings designed to harmonize with the surrounding landscape. With a vision of redefining luxury in an environmental context, the resort strives to deliver the ultimate premium ecotourism experience for discerning guests.

Spanning an impressive four square kilometers, Zardun will be a meticulously restored haven abundant with native flora and fauna. Guests will immediately be captivated by its breathtaking beauty upon arrival at the state-of-the-art experience center, which includes a 360-degree observation deck.

Comprising three distinct boutique hotels, Zardun will offer a total of 100 rooms and suites, each reflecting a commitment to a more sustainable future within this restored environment. With each hotel having a unique theme, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of experiences, encompassing stunning valley views and magnificent sea panoramas.

Guests at Zardun can engage in activities such as trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, stargazing, meditation, and yoga. The resort also plans to offer educational and field programs focused on nature protection, conservation, and re-wilding.

Zardun's sustainability strategy encompasses comprehensive environmental stewardship, including the creation of oases to support diverse habitats. These life-giving water sources will facilitate the re-introduction and nurturing of native animals, plants, and tree species. Along its coast, the resort will prioritize the conservation of coral reefs and other marine life in the Gulf of Aqaba, further strengthening NEOM's commitment to environmental preservation.

As the latest addition to NEOM's sustainable tourism destinations in the Gulf of Aqaba, Zardun joins Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, and Aquellum developments, all sharing NEOM's dedication to sustainable progress.
