The authorities clarified that golden visas are granted under specific eligibility criteria, which do not include digital currency investors. A joint statement regarding this matter was made by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security; the Securities and Commodities Authority; and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. It has been clarified that digital currency investments are subject to specific regulations and do not qualify individuals for Golden Visas. Claims about Golden Visas being issued to virtual asset investors in Dubai have also been dismissed by authorities.
