OpenAI Rolls Out ChatGPT Go Plan In India
OpenAI also announced that all ChatGPT subscriptions in India can now be paid via UPI

OpenAI has rolled out a new subscription plan in India named "ChatGPT Go", priced at Rs 399 per month. The plan offers expanded access to GPT-5, higher message limits, image generation, file uploads and memory, with enhanced support for Indic languages.
The company said ChatGPT Go is aimed at making advanced AI tools more affordable and accessible to India’s fast-growing user base, which includes students, professionals, developers, entrepreneurs and creators. Compared to the free version, the new plan provides up to ten times more message limits along with the ability to generate images and upload files or images. OpenAI said in a release that ChatGPT Go was designed for users who wanted greater access to the platform’s advanced capabilities at a more affordable price.
As part of the rollout, OpenAI also announced that all ChatGPT subscriptions in India can now be paid via UPI, making it easier for users across the country to subscribe. India is currently OpenAI’s second-largest market after the United States and one of its fastest-growing. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman noted that India could soon overtake the US, praising the pace at which Indians are adopting AI.
