Riyadh: The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Chairman of the Board of Directors, Counselor Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al Al-Sheikh, has revealed an exciting addition to the Riyadh 2024 season – the "6 Kings Slam" tennis cup tournament, scheduled for October. This prestigious event will bring together six of the world's top male tennis players, boasting a combined total of approximately 50 Grand Slam titles.

Headlining the tournament will be the current world number one and legendary tennis player, Novak Djokovic. With an unparalleled record of success, including 24 Grand Slam wins, Djokovic is set to inspire and captivate fans in Riyadh. Joining him will be Rafael Nadal, another tennis icon and holder of an impressive 22 Grand Slam titles.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Djokovic shared, "I am excited to return to Riyadh and play in front of all my fans in Saudi Arabia." Nadal echoed this sentiment, stating, "I am very excited to play for the first time in Riyadh, after some other tennis players preceded me."

The tournament will also welcome Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, winner of the 2023 Riyadh Tennis Season Cup and currently ranked second in the world. Alcaraz, known for his exceptional skills, exclaimed, "I am very happy to return to Riyadh to show the best of my abilities."

Daniil Medvedev, the former US Open champion and currently ranked third in the world, expressed his delight at returning to Saudi Arabia, saying, "Having the best tennis players in the world in one place is exciting. I can't wait to meet everyone."

Jannik Sinner, the talented player who recently secured his first Grand Slam title by defeating Medvedev at the Australian Open, will also be present. Ranked fourth in the world, Sinner shared his excitement, remarking, "I am very excited to play in Riyadh for the first time with a group of players who will be... It's fun to play with them, and I'm looking forward to it."

Joining the esteemed lineup is emerging Danish talent Holger Rohn, currently ranked seventh in the world by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Rohn expressed his happiness at the opportunity, stating, "I am happy to come to Riyadh for the first time to compete against this formidable group of players."

The announcement of the "6 Kings Slam" tournament follows the resounding success of the "Riyadh Season" in hosting a range of international sporting and entertainment events. The season attracted prominent players from around the globe and garnered exceptional attendance figures, demonstrating the city's growing reputation as a hub for top-tier tournaments.
