Riyadh – The Ministry of Commerce in Saudi Arabia has announced that the total number of e-commerce registers issued during the fourth quarter of 2023 reached an impressive figure of 37,481. This marks a substantial increase of 24% compared to the same period in the previous year when there were 30,190 e-commerce registers recorded. The Ministry shared this information through its quarterly business sector bulletin.

In addition to the surge in e-commerce registrations, the total number of commercial registers reached a noteworthy milestone by reaching 95,860 during the fourth quarter of this year. This indicates a thriving business landscape and highlights Saudi Arabia's commitment to fostering economic growth and diversification.

Amongst all regions within Saudi Arabia, Riyadh emerged as having the largest number of e-commerce registers during Q4 2023 with an impressive count of 15,074. Following closely behind are Makkah and the Eastern Province with respective figures of 9,529 and 6,011 e-commerce registrations. These numbers demonstrate how various regions across Saudi Arabia are actively embracing digital commerce as part of their economic strategies.
