Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development Announces Deadline To Correct Status Of Domestic Workers (Huroob) Absent From Work
The grace period aims to grant support workers and employers a grace period to correct the status of absent support workers through automated procedures on the Musaned platform
As part of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's ongoing efforts to develop the support workforce sector in the Kingdom, and in reference to the initiative to improve contractual relations, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announces a six-month grace period for "correcting the status of absent support workers" starting from 13 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1446 AH, corresponding to May 11, 2025 AD. The grace period aims to grant support workers and employers a grace period to correct the status of absent support workers through automated procedures on the Musaned platform. This allows new employers to correct the status of absent support workers by logging into the Musaned platform and completing the procedures automatically, which contributes to improving the work environment and guaranteeing the rights of all parties.
The ministry explained that the initiative is part of its efforts to regulate the labor market, allowing support workers who have previously been reported as absentees and are still illegally within the Kingdom to rectify their status by transferring their services to other employers after completing the necessary procedures.
The ministry confirmed that these measures will be implemented through the "Musaned" platform and will not include workers who were absent from work after the announcement date.
