The authority posted a video on its social media handle showing how scammers use fake QR code posters in busy spots to trick people into scanning and stealing their personal info.

The Cyber Security Council warned that just one fake post can give scammers access to your data and urged everyone to stay alert and avoid falling for fake giveaways. Residents are advised to handle QR codes cautiously; inspect the code for any signs of tampering and scan only those from verified, reliable sources.
