Director and choreographer Farah Khan has announced that she is returning to filmmaking after a long break and has also expressed her desire to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan again. The update came through her vlog, shot during a visit to actor Nakuul Mehta’s Mumbai home, where Farah spoke candidly about rediscovering her interest in direction. She also clarified that she has no plans to step away from YouTube and will continue her vlogging alongside filmmaking.
Farah Khan’s collaborations with Shah Rukh Khan have produced some of Bollywood’s most memorable films. Her directorial debut, Main Hoon Na, released in 2004, blended romance and action and starred Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Amrita Rao, Zayed Khan, and Boman Irani. She went on to introduce Deepika Padukone to Bollywood with Om Shanti Om, another hugely successful Shah Rukh Khan–Farah Khan project. Her most recent directorial venture, Happy New Year (2014), featured Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, and Boman Irani.
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki in 2023 and is expected to appear next in Siddharth Anand’s King. While details about a potential reunion with Farah Khan remain under wraps, fans are already eagerly awaiting the possibility of the duo working together again.
