BTS Announces World Tour; India Not On List
The tour will kick off in South Korea before heading to major global cities
K-pop supergroup BTS has announced the dates for its 2026–2027 world tour, with the opening shows scheduled to begin in South Korea this April. The announcement was made on January 14, revealing plans for 79 concerts across 34 regions worldwide.
The tour will kick off in Goyang, South Korea, before heading to major global cities including Tokyo, Las Vegas, London, Bangkok and Singapore. However, India does not feature on the current list, leaving many Indian fans disappointed.
This will be BTS’s first full international tour since RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook completed their mandatory military service. The absence of India has sparked a strong reaction online, with fans expressing their disappointment and pushing hashtags such as #BTSinIndia in hopes of drawing the agency’s attention. BigHit Music has said that additional tour dates could be announced later.
The tour news follows BigHit Music’s recent announcement that BTS will make their musical comeback on March 20, four years after their last release. According to Yonhap News Agency, the group will release its fifth full-length album, a 14-track project shaped by the members’ personal experiences during their hiatus for national service.
