Google Expands Veo 3 AI Video Generator Access To India
Veo 3 can create a wide range of content, from historical recreations to surreal artistic videos.
Google has expanded the access to its advanced AI video generation tool, Veo 3, to users in India. The service is now available through the Google AI Pro subscription in the Gemini app. Veo 3, introduced at the Google I/O developer conference in May, allows users to generate highly realistic eight-second videos using text or image prompts.
Developed to compete with OpenAI's Sora video generator, Veo 3 can create a wide range of content, from historical recreations to surreal artistic videos. It features sophisticated capabilities such as accurate physics simulation, character lip-syncing, synthesized speech, and scenes enhanced with background music and sound effects.
To ensure responsible use, Google has implemented strict safety protocols, including extensive red-teaming evaluations and strict policy enforcement. All videos generated with Veo 3 contain both visible watermarks and invisible SynthID digital signatures to identify them as AI-generated content. Veo 3 is now available in all regions where the Gemini app operates.
