IPL 2025 To Resume On May 17
Decision on the venues for the qualifiers, eliminator, and final will be announced later

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the Indian Premier League is all set to resume on May 17. A total of 17 matches will be played across 6 venues, and the final will be held on June 3. The tournament was suspended on May 9 for a week due to the tensions between India and Pakistan.
"After extensive consultations with government and security agencies, and with all the key stakeholders, the Board has decided to proceed with the remainder of the season," said BCCI in a statement on Monday. The remaining league stage matches will be played at six venues, including Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. At the same time, a decision on the venues for the qualifiers, eliminator, and final will be announced later. Qualifier 1 is scheduled for May 29, followed by the Eliminator on May 30, and then Qualifier 2 on June 1.
