Riyadh - The King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language has announced the commencement of its in-person study program, "Teaching the Arabic Language to Speakers of Other Languages," at the prestigious Abjad Center for Teaching the Arabic Language, located at the academy's headquarters.

The center has successfully enrolled 150 male and female students, representing an impressive 41 nationalities from various continents. This achievement aligns with the objectives of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 Human Capacity Development Program, which aims to support and promote the Arabic language globally while providing exceptional education within an engaging cultural environment.

The Abjad Center offers distinguished education that combines immersive learning experiences in both language acquisition and cultural understanding. The program consists of four educational levels (A1, A2, B1, B2) designed to align with European language proficiency standards. Each level spans two months with a total of 160 educational hours—equivalent to an average of twenty hours per week—alongside enriching cultural activities.

The curriculum is built upon integrated study units that encompass essential language elements and skills. It follows the European framework for teaching foreign languages, ensuring learners gain comprehensive knowledge about Arabic structures, vocabulary, sounds, spelling rules while also exploring prominent aspects of Arab and Saudi cultures. By mastering these skills through speaking and writing exercises in various contexts, students will be equipped to communicate effectively with others.

The primary objective of the Abjad Center is to provide outstanding education for non-Arabic speakers that enables them to confidently converse in Arabic. The center achieves this by offering a distinguished program developed according to international standards in language teaching while simultaneously promoting global awareness about Saudi Arabian culture. Students will have opportunities to learn about heritage sites, customs & traditions as well as explore tourist and archaeological attractions. Enrichment activities, trip programs, and visits are organized to enhance education, foster cultural acquisition, and attract learners from around the world who aspire to learn Arabic as a second language.

Moreover, the Abjad Center provides an attractive linguistic and cultural environment that facilitates integration into Saudi society. This inclusive approach aims to create a seamless learning experience for both male and female students while fostering their understanding of the Arabic language.

The launch of this program marks another significant step towards achieving Saudi Arabia's vision of promoting Arabic language proficiency globally while showcasing its rich culture. The King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language remains committed to providing exceptional education that empowers students with valuable linguistic skills and deep cultural insights.
